It is free to change your tour start date within 30 days of departure. You can select a new tour led by the same operator up to 30 days before departure.

Travel insurance

Passengers require that you have adequate and valid travel insurance that covers medical and personal accidents, including the costs of repatriation and emergency evacuation. We recommend using the Assist Card travel insurance.

Visa

For the tours offered, obtaining the required visa(s) is the responsibility of each individual traveler, as visa requirements vary depending on your nationality. We recommend checking with your local embassies representing the countries you are traveling to, as part of this itinerary.

Physical training

None of the activities featured on these trips require any special training or skills, just a reasonable level of fitness and a willingness to participate. Weather conditions are hot and humid most of the time.

Climate and seasonality

Hurricane season is September through November, interruptions to essential services can occur. MCL monitors these situations as they may arise, so itineraries or activities can be modified as needed.

Accommodation notes

The type of accommodation indicated in the itineraries of routes 1 and 2 are only a guide and may vary. On some occasions, alternative arrangements may need to be made due to unavailability of rooms in our preferred accommodation. In these cases, we will use a similar hosting standard. Throughout the trip, we request that our properties prepare rooms in time for our arrival, especially if we arrive before normal check-in time. However, this is not always possible, which means that we may not be able to check you in immediately on arrival at some hotels. Instead, we can store our luggage and explore our new destination or, on some trips, have use of shared day rooms until all rooms are available.
